I just find it funny that with the new Boot Camp software, people have found that Macs actually run Windows XP better than a PC does. Irony?
And there's not a very big gaming library for Macs. Just Blizzard games and some outdated shooters. But who buys a Mac to play games anyway? ID Tech 5 coming soon looks to be the ONLY exciting thing happening in the world a gaming on Macs. A far cry from the days when Macs were the only computers capable of playing games. Ah, the good ol' days...

EA is releasing more games now for Mac. That was a pretty big announcement they made but one that I really could care less about. I hate a majority of EA's franchises. Too many cash-ins come from them though for me to respect them as a publisher. John Carmack announcing ID Tech 5 was more significant to me though. The fact that he debuted the engine at a Mac specific conference was a surprise as well. I wouldn't get my hopes up in terms of Mac gaming though. They've made announcements like this in the past, trying to prove to people that they still care about the gaming audience, but they have yet to fulfill any of their previous promises. I won't overlook these announcements or pass judgment on Mac gaming just yet, but they really need to do something big in the future to spark interest again.

Can't play high end games without suffering. The PC is far superior for gaming.

Can't play high end games without suffering. The PC is far superior for gaming. Yeah, but so are gaming consoles.

You of all people should know that PC > Gaming Consoles. I am not talking crap on mac's, if mac's could play games like PC's I believe there would be no need for windows, having said that, do I think that is going to happen anytime soon, even with then new games for mac (which are running on emulators btw), the answer would be no.

EA on Mac is running on emulators... and that's the only major game maker doing that now.

Yeah but aren't EA the primary games producer on the mac. I know id is coming out with one but do you remember the time when the G3s were being introduced and John Carmack came out on stage and was talking about games for the mac, but nothing happened... I think it's going to be another one of those times

EA may publish some absolute trash but no one can doubt they also publish some HUGE, quality franchises. Burnout, Battlefield, all of the EA Sports franchises, and some decent licensed games. Not to mention new franchises like Crysis and Army of Two.
